BIO: Jason Dobbie
Chef Jason Dobbie has grown up in the culinary world. What began as a “job” in the 90’s quickly transformed into a passionate life changing career. Having trained in many highly acclaimed dining rooms across Canada, Chef Dobbie has developed a passionate, dynamic approach to the world of food.
Born and raised in Southern Ontario, Jason has enjoyed tremendous career growth working at The Elora Mill Inn and the Millcroft Inn before becoming part of the culinary team at Langdon Hall Country House Hotel in 2003. In 2005, while Jason was Sous Chef Langdon Hall became one of only five properties in Canada to be awarded the prestigious CAA/AAA Five Diamond Dining designation. In 2006 the Niagara Region with its exploding culinary scene lured Jason. At Hillebrand Winery Restaurant he further expanded his skills and repertoire with food true to the Niagara Region and seasons. Moving West in late 2009, Jason became Sous Chef at The Pointe Restaurant at the Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Chateaux property recently named one of the top 25 resorts in North America by Travel & Leisure Magazine. Now, Chef Dobbie has returned “home” to Zees where he will draw on all of his training and experiences to create innovative & contemporary “nostalgic comfort food”.
We invite you to join us for Zee experience!
