Matt Krupa brings over two decades of culinary experience to his role as Executive Chef at HobNob Restaurant at The Charles Hotel, where he oversees kitchen operations and leads his team in delivering elevated dining experiences rooted in Niagara’s rich culinary landscape.
Born and raised in Niagara, Matt built a strong foundation working at some of the region’s most celebrated establishments, including Peller Estates, Trius Winery, The Good Earth, and Megalomaniac Winery. He went on to refine his craft at Langdon Hall, one of Canada’s premier fine dining destinations, where he rose to the position of Senior Sous Chef under Chef Jonathan Gushue. During this time, Matt was recognized as one of Ontario’s Top 30 Under 30.
Further shaping his culinary perspective, Matt completed stages at renowned restaurants such as Auberge du Pommier, Canoe, and the two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Frantzén in Stockholm, Sweden.
Now back in Niagara, Matt brings his experience and passion full circle, leading the culinary team at HobNob Restaurant with a focus on excellence, creativity, and a deep connection to the region he calls home.
