What You Will Need
🌸Plain tapered candles (white or pastel work best)
🌸Pressed flowers + pressed greenery: violas, pansies, fern bits, chamomile, baby’s breath, daisies
🌸Wax paper
🌸Hair dryer or heat gun (low setting)
🌸Tweezers (optional, for tiny petals)
🌸Sharp scissors
How to Assemble
- Make sure your tapered candles are dust-free and smooth.
- Lay out your pressed flowers so you can see your design.
- Position each pressed flower on the candle where you want it.
- Start with greenery, then layer florals on top.
- Keep the design minimal — tapers look prettiest with small blooms.
- Place a sheet of wax paper over the candle, with the flowers sandwiched between.
- Wrap tightly and hold the excess wax paper at the back like a handle.
- Apply gentle heat with a hair dryer/heat gun.
- Move slowly and evenly — the candle’s outer wax will soften and grab the flowers.
- You’ll see the florals “melt into” the surface.
- Press lightly with your hand (through the wax paper) to ensure everything is sealed and flat.
- Wait a moment for the wax to cool, then peel off the wax paper.
- Trim any stray petal edges.
- Add a bow using twine, silk, or chiffon ribbon.
- Display in candlesticks or bundle as a gift set.
